This is a template for students to cut and make their own "Measure Man." A great way to help them with the concept of units of volume, measure man has helped us all for years. Rather than pass out tons of construction paper, this template allows students to cut and color their own version with very little cost to you. I reccomend letting them glue it all onto a piece of larger paper (possibly bulletin board paper) to make things easier.

This is an editable/printable google doc of Mr. Gallon Man. Mr. Gallon Man is a visual learning tool. It is a conversion chart between gallons, quarts, pints, and cups. Mr. Gallon Man can be used as a teaching reference poster. It is also beneficial to assist students during their independent work. I printed my Gallon Man on colored paper for visual purposes. Laminated him, glued him together, and hung him in my room for reference.

This freebie includes this capacity conversions worksheet that accompanies well with a hand-on activity of measuring out ounces, cups, pints, quarts, and gallons. An answer key is also included. I had students cut out the pieces for the Gallon Person prior to the lesson so that they could use the pieces to see that 2 cups fit perfectly over 1 pint piece.
